Updated In May, 2012 - On June 29, 2011 the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) suspended all of Full Tilt Poker's licences requiring that Full Tilt Poker suspend operations from that jurisdiction immediately and with full effect. According to the AGCC this action was prompted due to a special investigation prompted by the indictments that were unsealed by the US Attorney General's Office on April 15, 2011.
At this time players are reporting that they are unable to log into their accounts and that any tournaments they were playing in stopped dead. For the time being it appears that any and all funds in player accounts is untouchable and until these licences are unsuspended players will not be able to access them. With all the turmoil at Full Tilt Poker, a lot of players have had enough and are choosing to migrate to different rooms such as Lock Poker and GR88 Poker.
Updated In May, 2012 - Fulltilt Poker was one of the four US poker rooms that were shut down on April 15th, 2011. The Full Tilt Poker shutdown effected over a million U.S. citizens. This guide will explain why Full Tilt Poker was shut down, why the Fulltilt web site was closed, what Fulltilt Poker players should do and where you can currently play poker online. Full Tilt Poker was/is the Internet's second largest poker room until this happened. Full Tilt and Pokerstars, the main two shutdown poker rooms are household names in the USA. If you have ever watched the WSOP or another poker show on ESPN or several other TV channels you will have likely seen many commercials for these rooms. Not once during the Fulltilt Poker shut down was your money at risk. You could log into your account at any time. This is because the software was not shut down, just Fulltiltpoker.com. If you had visited Fulltiltpoker.com during the following days after Black Friday you would have seen the image below:

That would scare just about anyone but there really isn't a reason to panic. Full Tilt Poker and the U.S. Department of Justice have negotiated a deal and your money is safe and will be in your hand shortly. Fulltilt Poker's closed down domain is expected to be back online soon as well. The only down side to all of this is that when Fulltiltpoker.com is back online U.S. citizens will not longer be able to play at their real money tables. I have created informational guides about each of the major poker shutdowns below:
There will be a small delay in getting your money from Fulltilt Poker during but your poker account balance is completely safe. This is not the end of US players playing at Full Tilt Poker. With support from many senators and politicians Full Tilt Poker is expecting a full return to the US market before the year is out. You should look at this whole ordeal as a short vacation away from FTP. You might actually fall in love with the US poker sites that were not shut down or closed. You should not just leave your money in your Fulltilt Poker account and wait for regulation though. It would be best to submit your cashouts as soon as possible. Here are a list of Fulltilt Poker cashouts that players from the U.S.A can use to withdraw their funds as well as some general timelines:
This is the sentiment that most US poker players have these days. Poker isn't illegal and no online poker player has ever been arrested for playing real money poker online. The only question you have to ask yourself is where to play now? There are two independent poker rooms listed below as well as a major room (Lock Poker) on the largest US poker network. The bonus deals listed below are exclusive offers I was able to work out in the days following the poker site shutdowns. I could only list a deposit bonus below but there are other incentives to be had. TRead each review to learn more about these US poker rooms and the bonus packages you can receive when you sign up through PokerShutdowns.com.
